Last Day w/ Josh and Andrea

Josh and Andrea are on there way up to New York. Andrea's family came into town and spent friday night and saturday with them. Since we were in Shreveport we didn't get to see them until Sunday. We got to pray and send them out at church. Some ladies at the church set up a reception for them whTere we could shower them with cards and love. Then off to Mecardo Juarez for a big lunch with lots of friends and family.

We came back to my parents house and spent the rest of the afternoon and evening hanging out. My mom made salmon, potatos, and lost of yummy stuff.

Oh and TJ wanted to make it a day of record outfit changes. I think he pooped and threw up so many times today. We had to change his out fit 4 times because of explosice diapers.

here are some pics from the day:

WE LOVE YOU JOSH AND ANDREA!!! We are so glad we got to spend a long day with you. Many memories were made on this one day. We'll miss you and can't wait to see you again.

Shreveport

On Friday I got out of work about an hour early. While I went and picked TJ up Tim got the truck loaded, gas in it and, cleaned. We were headed out to Shreveport at about 4.
We pulled in at about 7:15. Papaw started cutting the meat as soon as we got there. We did a lot of visiting, playing with babies and taking fun pictures.
Here are some pics:

Then saturday we headed over to Mamaw and Papaw Leckie's house right after we had an awesome breakfast. Papaw actually made cinamon biscuts the way Mamaw used to make them.
We spent about an hour and a half with the Leckie's. It was great to see them and seeing them enjoy TJ.

Family Night

Pictures last night with TJ were fabulous. I met Tim and TJ there and we started doing the pictures about 10 mins after we got there. TJ was in a very good mood when he got there and was smiling like crazy for the camera but for whatever reason we didn't get a picture with him smiling. Here is a picture of him right before we started:

He took some pictures on his stomach, back and one of him sitting on this stool. After we did the pictures of him on the stool he got really scared and wouldn't calm down. This was also the time when he was starting to get hungry. So while I was sitting there feeding him we picked out the pictures we wanted and they printed them for us. It was a great experience and will be going back there for more pictures. We went to
http://www.portraitinnovations.com/index.html

Here is a picture of the picture of TJ so its not the greatest quality:

After we got done with pictures we went and met all the family at Studio Movie Grill. Once we got there we saw all the notes everywhere saying "no children two or under will be admitted into pg-13 or R rated films after 6 pm". We were planning to see Get Smart but Tim and I were just going to leave and my mom stopped us and said that she didn't want to see the movie anyways so she took him back to her house and he got to play and have fun with Kaykay. If you haven't seen Get Smart go see it. It was so hilarious, I absolutely loved it and will want to own that one.

Well that was our evening last night and we are going to spend this evening packing and getting ready for tomorrow. We are leaving right after I get off work (whenever that will be) to go to shreveport to see Tim's side of the family. There is a bunch of them that haven't seen TJ yet.

3 Months Old

This Friday our little guy is going to be 3 months old. Its hard to believe that 3 months ago my water broke and then we got to see TJ for the first time.

We are excited because today we are going to be taking TJ to get his pictures taken for him turning 3 months this week. He is just going to look so darn cute. Tim picked out his outfit last night so he wouldn't be to pressured on time today. We need to be there by 5:15 so I'm just going to meet them there when I get off.

He has been sleeping throught the night now for about 2 1/2 months and when he was 6 weeks old we moved him to his room. This past week he is really starting to understand what he can do with his hands and arms. We hold Mr. Blue Elephant out and he is really starting to grab a hold of him and play. He's also started to laugh instead of just smiling at us. He also eats about 5 times a day during the day he eats every four hours and then after he eats at 6 he only goes 3 hours before he needs to eat again. We just give him a bath, feed him at nine, and then off to bed for 9 hours.

there's the update.

Slowing Down For the Weekend

Well this was the first weekend in a while that we just got to chill around the house. Friday night we just sat on the couch, ate some stupid dinners (ramen noodle and Frito chili pie) and watched some TV. Tim had to go to work on Saturday so we went to bed pretty early. Saturday we washed our cars, went shopping at Target, and had a lunch date at On The Border.
We did spend a lot of time doing research on cars that are options for me to get this fall. My lease is going to be up and I'll need to get into something else. We are going to be going through D&M so I can basically just tell them what I want and they'll see what they can find. We got Tim's truck through them and it was honestly the easiest experience we have been through in getting a car/truck. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get you the name and number of the lady who helped us.

Oh and on a side note on Sunday we went out to lunch like normal after Church. We went to humperdinks and this family walked in with this little bitty baby and I was pointing out to Tim how small she was. Well by the time Tim heard me and turned all he could see was the parents and the other little kid. Well low and behold the lady who had the baby was one of TJ's NICU nurses. She was the one who was with him the first night. I liked her the most. She explained everything where I could understand and was concerned about my time with TJ. Once I walked in she immediately picked him and let me get settled so I could hold him. It was nice seeing her and being able to thank her for all she did and how much I appreciated her.

We are going to be starting back up this weekend with the business. We are driving to Shreveport this weekend and Oklahoma next weekend. Lots of fun!

Here Too

Well I decided to set up another site for people to read my blogs. I realized that I have friends and family that do not have myspace and I don't like for my profile to be public for everyone to read, but that means that you have to have a profile and be my friend to read what I post.

ENJOY!

First Time Around

Well Tim and I have made it through our first Mother's Day and first Father's Day...

For Mother's day we went over to Nick and Kelly's house to hang out for a while and we got to show TJ off for the first time for all of their family. That night we had a family fish fry at our house with my parents, sister, and Terry and Lizzie. While Terry and Tim cooked all the fish we just spent the lovely evening outside sitting on the patio. It was tons of fun and TJ was great sitting in his swing while we all talked. After dinner we opened our gifts, I got a gift card from my parents and Tim gave me some beautiful earrings with TJ's birthstone in them. I'm still in the process of spending my gift card but I've already bought a couple pieces of clothing. woo hoo!

For Father's Day we stopped and got breakfast on the way to church....he chose McDonald's. The after church we went out to lunch at Texas Land and Cattle with family and friends after church. But the night before we had my parents over for a cook out but this time Me and my mother did all the cooking. We grilled pork tenderloins, made fried potatoes and fresh corn. Our boys loved it and we loved loving on our men. TJ did a pretty good job with Tim's present he got him a pair of fancy cowboy boots. And my parents got him a gift card to kolhs. He got 2 pairs of pants and a pretty shirt.

I love my guys. I have a wonderful husband who is a awesome Dad. He plays with TJ all the time but understands the importance of a routine and that TJ is the baby and we are the parents.

I love you baby and thanks for TJ!

Fun Filled Weekend Ahead

This weekend is the Highland Games, both my side of the family and Tim's side of the family is Scottish. Every year we plan to go out to UTA and enjoy the Scottish events (music, games and shopping). This year of course will be TJ's first year and we couldn't go without getting TJ a kilt. The place where Tim bought his kilt which is in his family's tartan had baby kilts available in the family tartan also. So we ordered the kilt a couple of weeks ago and while we were at it we ordered me a mini kilt to match the boys. We look so cute all together. Mine is really short and I have to go get some little shorts to wear underneath, but still cute.

Rick, Sarah and Piper are going to be staying at our house starting on Thursday night so they can go to the Scottish Festival also. Since they will be hanging around while we are at work I asked them if they would want to keep TJ during the day. TJ gets to spend the day with his Uncle, Aunt and Cousin. He'll have so much fun and that will give my mom a day off so she can come into work and get some hours in.

Oh and Sunday morning TJ is going to get baptized. Which just made it even a better weekend for everyone to come into town since everyone was already coming in for the Scottish Festival.

Lots of fun stuff and I'll post pictures when it is all said and done.

Five Painful Pricks

So today my baby went to the doctor today for his first round of shots. I did give him some Tylenol this morning as soon as I put him in the car so it would be good and in his system by the time he got his shots. He did pretty good he got 2 in one leg and 3 in the other. Once the first two were done he just looked up at me and stuck that cute bottom lipout at me and was starting to calm down and then she started the next leg. The nurse said she hated giving the shots to the babies and she asked if she could pick him up and give him a hug and make sure he knew she was sorry. I took him to the day care and he had a good day. He was a little fussy but not to bad.

Everything went well he is weighing 13 lbs 15 oz and 23 1/4 inches tall. He is going to be going back in 2 months to get more shots and we will also find out about him eating big boy food. He is smiling all the time and he absolutely loves his bath time. At night when its about 30 mins till time for him to eat he starts to get fussy and eventually starts to scream. When this happens we start the bath and stick him in thereand let him play. He'll scream until he hits the water and then he will start to grin. We have filmed him a couple of times...its just too cute.

Celebrating Our Love...

Well as most of you know by my last blog that Tim and I had our 3 year anniversary this last week. During our trip to Fredericksburg to see my grandparents some kind of stomach virus hit Tim Monday afternoon. He was fighting it until Thursday night which means he was sick on our anniversary....huge bummer. My parents were going to take us out to Cheesecake Factory for family night. Tim was really doing bad that night smells were really bothering him so he knew he wouldn't be able to go to a restaurant. My parents felt really bad that I was going to be eating ramon noodle (all we had in our house) by myself. So they gave me some cash so I could get some sonic to eat by myself.

Tim was feeling better and back to work on Friday. We decided to go to Cheesecake factory Friday night instead. Before we went out we had to get our new truck delivered to our house and get the papers signed. Okay I guess there is a story in that too. Tim's old truck was getting 12 MPG and we needed out of that ASAP since the gas prices aren't getting any better. So we got into a 2008 Texas Edition Crew Cab Chevy Silverado. Its really pretty and I'm sure Tim will post pics on his myspace. We went to Cheesecake Factory that night with my parents and my sister Amy. Loads of fun and we had some amazing cheesecake.

Saturday Night we had planned for TJ to go spend the night at my parents house. So we got over to their house right before six so I could feed him and then go. After we left there our date started. We met Nick and Kelly back at our house so we could all ride together and of course Tim wanted them to ride in his new truck. Once we got to Texas Roadhouse we ended up having to wait about 45 mins to get seated it was a mob in there. Once we got seated we had some fabulous steak and beer. After we left Roadhouse we headed off to Cowboys to see Jason Aldean. It was a great concert and we had a lot of fun but all us old married parents left at about 12:30 butt tired.

It turned out to be a great anniversary and we got to spend it with our good friends nick and Kelly.

and to top off the evening we got to go home and get in bed and not worry about when TJ would wake up.
