Solid Foods

Miss Anna has started baby food. Well the only thing she has had so far is rice cereal and she has only had it once.

She did better than I thought. I started at the beginning with the cereal very runny. After a few bites I thickened it, then kept adding more rice cereal after she kept eating. When I fed TJ the first time I got really frustrated because I kept it very runny the whole first meal and he didn't start eating it well until I thickened it.

Way to go Anna!

Octor Appointments

I told TJ this morning that Daddy and I were going to take him and Anna to the doctor today. I went on asking him if he had a good weekend, if he was going to be good today, and if he slept well.

After we went through these questions he asked me, “Mommy, I show octor my owie?” when I replied “yes”, he asked if he could show octor wee owies? (Two Owies) Hehe, this weekend we really worked on him saying two and most of the time he does. Since it was 6:30 in the morning I let it slide and verified with him that he meant two.

Well they both had their appointments today at 4 and they are perfect!

TJ weighs 35.2 pounds and is 3 feet 2 inches tall. 

Anna is also doing well. She weighed 13 pounds 13 ounces, 24 1/4 inches long, and her head was 15 3/4 inches around. She had to get two shots and is sleeping right now. 

Now I'm signing off to go with TJ to play with his new birthday toys.

Happy Birthday Timothy Wayne JR

Its so hard to believe that 3 yrs ago today, my little man made a splash into the world with a surprise.

Its been a fun year with TJ. On his birthday last year we found out we were pregnant. We had a cars birthday party for him. I made his cake and put a race track on the cake in the shape of a two and put Lightning McQueen and Mater on the track. He had a blast!

He became potty trained this summer, he moved from his crib to his daybed then to a full size bed, and he went to his first movie.

TJ has always had his own words. But this year he really started talking and I thought it would be fun to get them all written down.

It has been a great year and he developed so much this year. This coming year he will be starting preschool, we'll probably start him in team sports either in the fall or next spring.

We love you TJ!

TJ's 3rd Birthday Party

TJ had a blast at his party. We blew up the bounce house, had cake, and had every toy with wheels out in the yard.

Everyone seemed to have a great time. TJ was very sweet and said thank you to everyone for his gifts.

4 Month Old Baby Anna

Today marks the day that Anna is 4 months old.

I hate that it goes so fast. I know everyone says that but I really hate it!

On the weekends her schedule is like it was on my last monthly update. During the week she changes it up basically everyday. My mom and I are going to get her set into a good schedule. WE ARE DETERMINED.

She is still eating about 6-8 ounces at each meal time. Her doctors appointment is on the 28th (so I could take both kids at the same time). She'll be starting her rice cereal soon. I was thinking about starting it this weekend but I'm thinking I'll wait until we go to her appointment. We'll see...

She is reaching out and playing with her toys. She discovered her voice this week. She "talks" a bunch. I'm thinking that we'll have a talker on our hands. TJ never "talked" like this. Should be tons of fun!

Anna is a full blown thumb sucker. Its really cute. She rolls up her right hand to suck on that thumb but when she sucks on her left thumb she keeps her hand open and puts it over her nose. I love it. She will take a pacifier but only when she is awake and wants something to chew on. I have to have 4 different kinds around the house because the one she likes today, she won't take tomorrow. Silly girl.

That's about all I need to talk about this month.

Gracee

She is apart of our family, she keeps watch over the house, she licks my kid's faces, she cuddles next to us when we are sick, she thinks she is a lap dog, she is our hyper-lazy dog, she is polite and will leave the room when she needs to scratch, she will also scratch right in front of you...

She can climb and jump over a wooden fence, she can dig under a fence, she is friendly, she is annoying, she has a scary bark, she eats a ton, she acts like she is starving after eating a whole bowl of food, she'll wake us up in the middle of the night so she can chase down a squirrel outside...

She likes to take adventures around the neighborhood if we don't let her back in the house after one bark at the door, she always comes home, she would bark at me if TJ or Anna would cry, she thinks that TJ and Anna are her babies, I think she thinks she is a human...

She is 5 1/2 years old, she is so much fun, she has beautiful coloring, she likes to play with birds but for whatever reason they never survive, she is our dog and....

WE LOVE HER!

My Nook

I know I'm a little behind in posting this but I wanted to make sure I wrote about this.

I have been wanting an eReader for some time. I didn't care which one I got, I just wanted one. There were a few other things on my list so I never asked for one.

Well my parents knew without me having to tell them. My dad got a Nook Color for Christmas and my mom got an iPad so they both had devices that they could read books on.

Well for my birthday my parents got me a Nook. I absolutely love it!

I went through and downloaded a ton of free books and even downloaded a few others.

Having the cute case is lovely because I love carrying it around. I love the way it looks and its lightweight and compact that it isn't a pain to carry in my purse or the diaper bag.

Oh and the eReaders are designed to not have a glowing screen so its not like looking at a computer screen. Actually if I want to read with the lights off I have to get my handy light clip out and attach it to the Nook so I can read. There is no eye strain.

New Camera...Nikon

I went out and got myself a fancy camera.

I have been wanting one for a long time but within the last 9 months or so I knew I would be getting one this spring. I have been doing lots of research, looking at used ones, new ones and different brands.

I decided on a new camera just for the fact that its new and I won't have that worry. Then I went with the brand that I got well because its the best. HAHA

I got myself a Nikon D3100. I love it! I got a package deal that came with a bag and a extra zoom lens. Since I've had an iPhone I take all my pictures with that just because my phone is on me at all times. Now that the iPhone camera is better quality my pictures look great but when I want to post pictures on my blog or print pictures it would be so much better to have a nicer camera.
