Six Flags 2012

Every year for the past 5 years or so, the company that Tim and I work for has a company picnic at Six Flags. We always have a great time, even though most of our time the last few years is spent in the kids area. Still worth it and we are making memories.

Victory Over Violace 5K 2012

Last year our company paid for any employees who wanted to participate in the 1k or 5k. Last year Anna was still young and both of us were pretty much out of shape so we walked it with my sister Amy.

This year we continued the tradition. One thing we said last year was that this year we were going to run it.

Well we did it. We ran the 5K. We trained for it and we rocked it. Amy other the other hand did no training and rocked it better than we did.

Six Flags 2011

The last 4 or 5 years we have been going to Six Flags for our company picnic. It's always a lot of fun but man is it HOT.

TJ had a blast. We took him on every ride he could possibly ride. Including his first "roller coaster" ride.

 Choo- Choo time
Anna only stayed for the lunch then Papa and Nana came to pick her up so she could stay cool and nap

Snow Day 2011

backyard
Well we had our first official snow day of 2011.

It started last night around 10pm. The rain came before the cold front. It rained for a while while the temperature dropped. Early this morning around 3 to 4 am. the rain turned to sleet. By 5 am the roads were getting slick. I had already gotten a call from my baby sitter (Christine is watching the kids while my parents are on their TXAPN trip) that she wouldn't be able to drive. She lives in Ft Worth and it hit there first.

By 6 am I heard our office was taking a weather day due to the ice. Only a few (including Tim) had made it to work and they made it because they were driving before the roads were that bad.

Tim made it home by 7 with breakfast. Since he had been gone since 4:30 our drive way had plenty of time to get a good sheet of ice where his truck had been parked. He pulled into the drive way and put the truck in park and it started to slide back into the street. So he is parked in the street.

We haven't gone out to play in it because its mainly ice.

Maybe we'll venture out later to get some pictures. After all it's Anna's first snow day! Well we had snow another day but it didn't stick here.

Goodbyes

No matter how you try your hardest to prepare to leave your babies... it is still the hardest thing ever.

I knew before I even had her that I would only have 6 weeks at home with her and TJ then I would be headed back to work. With the holidays it just made it speed by even quicker. I loved being home during the holidays but with all the activities, parties, and traveling it didn't slow down time.

I had my follow up appointment with my OB Dr yesterday and was released to go back to work yesterday. After I left that appointment I took Anna to my parents house. I had dropped TJ off there earlier so I wouldn't have to take him to the doctor's office.

I was a ball of mixed emotions the night before and all day yesterday. It was hard to smile and be cheerful. Happy to get back to a normal routine but sad to be leaving my babies. Leaving them with my mom makes it so much easier because I can call my mom as much as I need to and can check on them.

I had lunch over at her house then it was time for goodbyes. I gave Anna lots of kisses and told TJ to give me hugs and kisses. He gave them with no hesitation. **Lump in my throat** TJ kept saying "bye bye Mommy" then when I was walking out the door I heard him ask my mom, "where my mommy doe?" my mom answered, "she is going to work" TJ, "ooohhhh, my mommy word" in a very sad voice. I shut the door so fast.

I did good, I didn't cry just had that stupid lump in my throat the rest of the day. And I kept my calls limited to break time.

Today was my first full day back at work. I'm glad I had a short day yesterday, it made today easier. I said my goodbyes this morning. The lump was gone. TJ still yelled "Bye bye Mommy" a million times but today it just made me smile.

I hate that I can't be with them every day but I am so happy that they get to spend every day with my mommy.

Now one more day this week then I get two FULL days with them!!!! Can't wait!

Exhausted

What a weekend. We had found out a couple weeks ago about a party our neighborhood would be having this past weekend. We never got anything on it reminding us until Friday night. We were out talking with our neighbors and they were asking if we were going to go. “yep, we’ll be there”  The party was from 10-1 on Saturday.

Right at 10 we are getting ready to head out to the neighborhood party and ended up walking with our neighbor down to the park at the end of our street. (Our neighbors love TJ anytime they see us they say hi to TJ and will play with him in the yard and chase him around.) We spent an hour or so down there, had some lunch, let TJ run wild, and then headed back to nap. TJ only slept an hour, I think because he got a diaper rash and it was hurting him.

We also had our company picnic at Six Flags that afternoon. We have had it there the past 3 or 4 years. The only time that is mandatory for us to be there is from 2-4 in the pavilion that is reserved for our company. We figured we would go right at 2 and then stay a little after the picnic so TJ could ride some of the rides.

We head out again at 1 to leave for Six Flags. The food was yummy and our business manager did door prizes and drawings. Tim won a season pass so we bought me one. They had a special if you bought the pass at the picnic you could get it for $30. So two season passes for $30. We couldn’t pass that up. We went to Looney Toon Land and let TJ ride a bunch of rides. He loved it. He was tall enough to ride more rides this year. And by the end of the summer he should be able to ride more of them since he was only two inches off from the restriction.

We wanted to head up to Humperdink’s to watch the UFC fight but couldn’t take TJ with us. We dropped him off at my parent’s house and put him to bed. The fight started 9 and was over around 11:30. It was a nice date with my hubby. We just ate appetizers and had coffee.

Sunday Tim led worship….It was AMAZING!! After church we decided to just go home for a snack lunch and veg out. We needed the rest. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out, watering the yard and getting ready for the week.  It was a great end to a great weekend.

Little Bit of Some Blog Silence

Sorry about being quiet. An no, this picture doesn't have anything to do with my blog but I thought it was really cool.

Its been a pretty busy and crazy last couple of weeks. It started out with last Sunday. TJ had a fever, for no reason. It was pretty high and I didn't know where it was coming from. Since he wouldn't eat lunch after church I thought it was because he was teething. After a few days of up and down fever I called the doctor. The one thing that concerned them was that he didn't have any other symptoms. Well it turns out that the Dr. diagnosed that TJ has Roseola, I never saw a rash. But the Dr said that he may or may not get the rash.

Monday was my brother's golden birthday. Happy birthday Josh! Wish we could have been with him but we'll have a big party when we see them this summer.

I started this blog last weekend and I can't even remember why last week was so busy. This week I found out that TJ's bed has been recalled so this week we have been working on getting that taken care of. The bed is apart and the bolts have been mailed with all the other necessary paperwork to get a voucher for a new bed. Hopefully in about a week we'll be getting a new bed. It was really weird last night taking the bed apart that we had gotten for him. Well and now his room just looks off without his bed in there.
This week was NOT a good week relationally at work. But after some serious quiet time with The Lord I had a decent day today. I've just decided I can't do it on my own and I'm gonna be happy even if they don't like it.

I finished up my last class of School of Spiritual Warfare last week and we were suppose to have our last class with Beverly McIntyre yesterday but she got stuck in San Antonio and couldn't make it in time for the class. My dad has another class coming up this summer where we will go through the redemptive gifts and I KNOW it will be an awesome class. I just haven't decided if I'm going to attend. We are learning this in church right now and I just may want to go into it deeper in the class.

TJ is growing like a weed and of course changes daily. He got his 7th and 8th tooth in this last week. His top eye teeth.

Tim is really into cycling right now and out riding as I type. He is going on a 40 mile ride tomorrow and next weekend he will be in a 60 or 65 mile race. SO proud of him and he is even getting Amy into riding. I've gone a few rides its not as exciting for me. That probably has something to do with not having a fancy shamancy road bike and having a 25 pound kid on the back wobbling around. HAHA

I know this was a bunch of random information but its all I got right now. I really have some things that I want to get out but I'll save that for another day. I have things that are burning in my spirit that I want to write. Oh yeah! I didn't tell you, I got prophesied over that I would be a writter. That I would teach, draw pictures, prophecy and so on with my writings. SO COOL!

Here is TJ and his girl Lex on Easter weekend. I know its a little old but wanted to share a picture of him.

Life In the Leckie Home

Well there has been a lot going on the last couple of months around here. In previous blogs I've mentioned Tim's knee surgery, well he finally made it back to work last week. He was a little tired last week, but it was a short week so that was a nice bonus for him. This week he seems to be doing pretty good.

About a month ago I was just at work having a normal day. The company I worked for was a small company that wasn't doing to well. So one day my boss walked in and asked me if I could get my old job back. I was out of there in about 5 mins with all my stuff including a paycheck for the next two weeks. As soon as I got in my car I called Tim and My parents to pray for me. Next I called my old manager Carolyn (she loves me) and asked her if I could come meet with her, about 10 mins later i was walking out of there with a job. Lord sure does provide for me! I know I didn't go with out a job for days or months but it was sure the most stressfull and scary thing I've been through, I'm glad it only lasted 15 mins.

While Tim was out on medical leave he went through some changes. Let me just tell you he was sooooo bored he would do anything to get out of the house. Even if it was going with Terry to watch him mow yards. Well I guess my dad noticed that he was bored and started inviting Tim to events my dad was going to- tuesday morning prayer, band of brothers meetings, and pastor meetings. Well this did a real work on Tim. He has just been amaziing me everyday since, his relationship with the Lord is so inspriring.
He is now leading worship at church and ready to step into the things the Lord has planned for him. A week ago he was practicing his guitar and singing, I was just sitting there watching him. I fell in love with him all over again. The most exciting thing is that I'm not the only one who sees these changes. I'm just so proud of him and excited to see what God has in store for us.

We hope you guys would keep us in prayers as we are going through these changes. The Lord has us in his hand and he contols everything and thats what keeps us going.
