4th Of July Weekend

We started out our 4th of July weekend taking a trip to Little Rock to see family and meet Mr. Charles, our newest nephew. We drove up on Saturday morning and stayed for the night.
Here is Uncle Tim and Mr Charles
Anna meeting Charlie
All the kiddos
And here is Aunt Kiki or KayKi with Mr Charles.
Then we went to the Peery's house on Sunday night to grill and go swimming:
On Monday we went to Uncle Terry's house to do LOTS of cooking and LOTS of swimming.
In the earlier pictures TJ is wearing a life jacket. When he wears this for whatever reason he doesn't feel comfortable in the water. He grips onto us for dear life. But we tried out the floaty he is in on the last picture. He will swim all over the pool with this. We are taking this to the beach with us.
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!
And I will have a Vacation Series so I can post lots of pictures in multiple blogs than posting one HUGE post.

Cars 2: Trip to the Movies
After two instances you can make something a tradition right?
Sounds good to me.
We went and saw Cars 2 with the Peerys. Last time we went to the movies we went to see Kungfu Panda and took Lex with us. They had a blast and since Cars 2 was coming out and my son and Lex are fanatics it was a MUST that we take them. It was opening weekend and had been planning it for weeks.
It was actually Anna's first movie. She didn't do terrible but she is at the age that movies aren't interesting to her but too old to be fine with sitting still for a couple of hours in a dark theater.
I'm just going to post a bunch of pictures because I think these kiddos are cuties.

KungFu Panda 2...Trip to the Movies
Tim and I took TJ and his best friend Lex to the movies today. They came over and dropped off Lex before the movie and then they took Anna back to their house.
TJ and Lex loved it! Only took two trips to the bathroom and they sat through the whole thing until the end when all the fighting was going on. They wanted to get up and do the moves too.
And yes....I was the lady who brought her camera to the movie theater.
That's them showing us their kungfu moves!

Halloween 2009
Mike and Heather invited us to a neighbor hood fall festival that afternoon so we went up to that with them and Lex. TJ, Lex and I went and got in a bounce house. They loved it. It was TJ first time to be in one. He kept jumping around and slamming face first into the floor but was laughing the whole time.
That night we decided to go to one house since he was so young so we headed over to Pat and Patty's house. (our next door neighbors) They were so excited to see them and just kept offering him the bowl of candy. He was so hesitant until he realized he could take some then he was grabbing hand fulls.
We then headed up to Six Flags. It was so packed so we mainly just walked around. It was fun to be out and about with my family. I love those guys and they bring so much joy to my life.
Oh and TJ decided he wanted to try the candy so he ate half of a tootsie roll...wrapper and all. He thought it was good.
bounce house fun
happy boy

Half eaten tootsie roll
After six flags. Fun day!

The 2009 New Year
Last year we went over to the Peery's house and brought in the new year with them. Well we got invited over there again. This year we got to play a ton of Wii. When its late and you add in a little wine some great memories are made. We don't get to hang out with them much so anytime we see them its a blessing.
Now in this pictures I said "everyone hold your wii's up" I got some funny looks and that became the line for the night.

Now its New Years day and we were doing some things around the house and Mike and Heather gave us a call and invited us over for some fondu. We headed over there around 3 and had cheese fondu, then later had meat and mushroom fondu then of course had chocolate fondu for dessert... it was yummy.
I didn't get any pictures of the fondu but here is Tim and Heather playing Wii Bowling:
and then TJ playing with some of Lexi's toys
