Thomas the Train

This weekend we went down to the Killeen and met up with Dre and Nate to go down to the hill country to go see Thomas. The kids had a blast. It rained the whole day but it let up just enough that it wasn't too bad. It was a great time. Thanks for thinking of us Dre!

Easter with Family

My brother and his wife, Dre and their son, Nate came in from Killeen to spend the weekend with us. We had a egg hunt and big lunch planned. It was a lot of fun

Sleepover

Nate, my nephew has only been in a big boy bed for a couple of months. He came in for a weekend and my parents had a date planned one of the nights so he came over to our house to play and spend the night.

Nate has never had a sleepover so he has never had to share a bed with another kid. Anytime TJ has a friend we just through them both in his bed (it is a full size bed) and let them pass out.

It was pretty insane of me to do that but they did pretty good. Nate liked to cuddle up to TJ but he would end up jabbing TJ in the back with a fist or knee. So TJ woke up a few times because of that. Nate woke up at one point and went and opened TJ's door to come find me. Being afraid of my dog (kinda big and scary looking) once he saw her he and TJ now awake at this moment they both started crying and screaming that Gracee was getting them and was going to eat them. Nate just kept crying "puppy, puppy, puppy!"

Pretty funny site now that I'm writing about it but at 3 in the morning....not so funny. Well a little funny.

Considering Nate had never had a sleepover before. He did pretty good. It was a fun memory and we'll definitely have to do that again. Maybe next time they'll both be a little more comfortable with the situation.

4th Of July Weekend

We had a pretty busy weekend with traveling, family, friends, and lots of eating and swimming.

We started out our 4th of July weekend taking a trip to Little Rock to see family and meet Mr. Charles, our newest nephew. We drove up on Saturday morning and stayed for the night.

Then we went to the Peery's house on Sunday night to grill and go swimming:

On Monday we went to Uncle Terry's house to do LOTS of cooking and LOTS of swimming.

In the earlier pictures TJ is wearing a life jacket. When he wears this for whatever reason he doesn't feel comfortable in the water. He grips onto us for dear life. But we tried out the floaty he is in on the last picture. He will swim all over the pool with this. We are taking this to the beach with us.

Schlueter Photos

While Josh, Dre and Nate were here a couple of weeks ago we decided them and I would go to a park so I could take some pictures of them. Nothing fancy but some pictures so we could update older pictures with.

Nater Tater

I meant to post this weeks ago...sorry.

This weekend (memorial day weekend) I got to meet my nephew. I just couldn't wait and I hated that it took me so long to meet him. He is already 4 months old and already has his little character. I was telling Dre that he is going to be a talker. He jabbers and yammers all the time. TJ never did that and it took him a while to get to talking. I don't think Nate will have any problem with that.

We had so much fun playing with him and loving on him. We wish my brother was here to enjoy this time with us. He is currently in Afghanistan and won't be back until next year. We will get to see him in November while he is on his two week leave. 

Already miss Dre and Nate and can't wait to see them in a few months.

Welcome Nate!!!

I just wanted to take a few minutes to welcome my nephew into the world.


JESSE NATHANIEL SCHLUETER

I know this is terrible but I don't have the exact time or his length.

He was born at about 3:00 PM central time January 29th 2010. He weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces.

Andrea and Josh went into the hospital yesterday at 5 am. She was given cervadil all day yesterday preparing her for the inducing today. She was having strong contractions yesterday but wasn't progressing. Over night her water broke at about 3 and she asked for an epidural around 6. Her contractions were right on top of each other but she wasn't progressing very fast. They started the pitocin but she never got past 4 centimeters.

At 2:20 I was told they were going in for a c section. Nate's heart rate got down into the 30's and Andrea wasn't doing the greatest with her vitals. They didn't want to mess around and got them into the OR.

Andrea did great and was in labor for HOURS!!! 5:00 AM 1/28 until 3:00 PM 1/29.

You rock Andrea!!!

Welcome Nater and I can't wait to see you!

They Found Out Today

The news we have all been waiting on for the past few weeks...
Are Josh and Dre having a BOY or GIRL? Son or Daughter? Niece or Nephew? Granddaughter or Grandson?

Its a boy!

I am so excited for them and I know this is one of the most exciting times of their lives.
