Race for Grace 5k

The school TJ attends had a 5K that the hosted and any chance Tim and I can get to do a 5K, we will do it!

It was tough, felt like we were going uphill the whole way. I am very thankful that Tim pushes the double stroller with 2 kids weighing about 75 lbs combined.

oh and TJ always has to run across the finish line. So the last little bit of the run TJ gets our and races across the finish line. This is always a hit with the crowds.

Commissioned

Last night we had our First Friday service. Every first Friday of the month we meet on Friday night instead of Sunday morning. This particular service was special for my family. As some of you may know but Tim leads worship at our church. He and my mom trade off leading.

Well last night Tim was officially commissioned in as the Worship Leader.

Very exciting. He was given words, prayed for and blessed.

We love you Timothy! Your Wife, TJ and Anna are so proud and we love hearing you worship, we love seeing you completely consumed by His spirit and power. We are here to support you, love you and well... dance! You know cause TJ has some moves...

Vacation Bible School

This wasn't TJ's first year to attend Vacation Bible School but it was the first year he had a program and the first program he has ever been in.

We were super proud of him and could wait to see him sing and dance. We even took him to ice cream afterward to celebrate.

And here is a video of one of the songs. It is so cute. He couldn't stop dancing and he even almost falls towards the end. HEHE

We are so proud of you TJ!!

Anna's Baptism/ Dedication

Anna's first Sunday was the day we decided to get Anna baptized/dedicated.

The word baptism brings many questions to people when mentioned. We use baptism as a symbol and an act that we are dedicating her to Christ. We step in for her since she isn't old enough to make her decision yet. We promise to raise her in the ways of the Lord. To teach her about Christ and about His teachings. We claimed her for the Lord and that the enemy has no place in her life.

With TJ we did his baptism/dedication when he was a few months old when family would be in town. With Anna since it was the weekend after Thanksgiving most of the family was able to be there, except Aunt Mimi. She had to go back to work. We missed her being there.
This is the gown that my brother, me, my sister, my cousin, TJ and Nate wore at our baptisms
This is where we were asked if we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. Do we renounce Satan and all his evil ways.
Papa gave her shoes as a symbol to walk where the Lord leads her and she would walk and sow the seeds of life.

1st Timothy Worshiping

I know we always talk about TJ worshiping and how awesome it is to see him raise his hands, clap and worship. BUT TJ didn't just decided to do this one day. He watches his daddy lead us in worship every Sunday. He is learning from a true worshipper. His Daddy!

Tim has such a great spirit and in a split second he can be right there in midst of God's almighty presence. I can be running around the house like a chicken with my head chopped off and Tim can be right there completed consummed with Christ. He seeks the face of God in intamcy and has to worship. He can enter into worhsip at the drop of a hat. He loves to worship and enters easily into the presence of God. When he strums his guitar and worships the King of Glory than all you can do is follow him in worhsip.

I am so blessed to be married to this man, I am so honored to call him my husband, and I am proud that he is the father of my son.

Thank you Timothy for being such a great example for our household! I love you

I Want to Love

I have been going to a women's bible study once a month and for whatever reason this last class really hit at home for me. It was about love and doing things in love. I don't think that it is necessarily only doing things for the people you love but doing them out of the love of your heart. If I do good things but don't do them in love then I have nothing. Like in 1st Corinthians 13: 1. If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it;[a] but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Walking with God is a love affair. God is love!! If I love him and become more intimate with him it becomes easier for me to love and to do things in love. I learn that conversation with God is life and without conversation on earth I can’t build relationship.

There are things in my life that concern me every day they become frustrations in my life. Things I can't do anything about. Things that I want to fix but not my place to touch or discuss. ALL I can do is love. Pour love on the situations and pray.

I want to love my husband more. He is a great husband. I don't want to do things for him because I feel like I have to, I want to do them out of love. What will God say of my marriage if we make it 65 years but I rolled my eyes, found things to push his buttons, or did things with a grudge the whole way through? But I guess I grow with failure. I've grown, I've learned, and I'm ready. I'm ready to love!!! I'm going to love. Not only just love but will do things with love. It all comes down to God, if God is love then how would I do it without him.

With my relationships with my friends and family. When I’m gone I want to be remembered as one who did things out of the love of my heart. One that loved with all my heart and did whatever possible to strengthen my relationships.

Then there is my child. My Little Timothy! He is the most wonderful little guy. And what kind of parent would I be if I didn’t show him the love of God? God gave him to me to raise him up to be a prophet. He has the most wonderful things already planned for his life and I am here to help him along on that path. I must show him God’s love by loving him and loving him with Christ in me.

God is Love and if God is the Great I AM than that means that I am the little I AM.

What a Weekend

As some of you may or may not know my Uncle Terry is getting hitched. He is marrying the lovely Lizzie. I think I have talked about them a bunch but if not I am now. HAHA. Well on Saturday my parents had a shower for them at their house for the church members to come to. It was a lot of fun. A bunch of people came and went and Terry and Lizzie got blessed. We had little BBQ sandwiches, chips and hot sauce, sweets and some tasty drinks. Before everyone got there and the party began The twins and I took TJ outside to swing and to sit on the hammock. He loved it of course and was laughing his little head off.

Here he is laying on the hammock:

TJ playing with the cat after the party:
Sunday TJ didn’t really want to sit in Church for whatever reason. He was tired and I think another tooth was cutting threw. During the sermon I took him back to children’s church where he could play and be noisy. There weren’t much toys in there because for one the nursery is being used by another church renting our fellowship hall and second we were in the children’s church where they do more classes and not playing. With all that he still was having a blast with empty tubs. I think it was the colors that he was really enjoying.
Here is TJ playing during Church:

We had some friends and family planning to come over for the big game yesterday so we left TJ at my parents house after lunch so he could nap and Tim and I went home to get ready for people to start showing up. Everyone started to make it over starting at about 4:30. TJ had fun playing with Lex and Harley (Lex’s cousin). Lex and TJ play so well together. It’s fun to watch them interact with each other.

That’s pretty much our weekend. Fun but busy!

What a Great Weekend

Oh my…We had a great weekend. It seemed like it had been forever since Tim and I just got to lay around and relax for the evening. When I got home on Friday Tim had a fire going and TJ was down for a nap. We watched some TV bundled up on the couch. TJ woke up about the time for diner and we had our dinner then proceeded to play and enjoy the fire. Then it was time for TJ’s bath then off to bed he went. Tim and I stayed up for another few hours sitting on the couch, covered with blankets, sipping on wine and enjoying the fire.

Picture from Friday Night
Saturday we were up and moving around I guess at about 8:30. Since we did nothing but lay around the night before our living room and kitchen were a disaster. Tim cleaned the kitchen while I went around and got all the random stuff done. After he was done with the kitchen we both went to our room and cleaned our room (this is an every weekend activity).  Tim went off for a bike ride with Rodney, so I was able to get my iPod just the way I want it while TJ was napping.  Nick, Kelly and Austin were going to be coming over that evening for dinner and to play some pool. Right before Tim got home and TJ woke up I got all the misc things done in the kitchen. Which made it a little easier on Tim for cooking.  Dinner was fabulous and we played many game of pool and bubble hockey.

Now it is Sunday and time for Church. The service was amazing. It was all spontaneous and prophetic. My Dad didn’t preach but we had a message taken care of with all the words and declarations. We went out to lunch with everyone, Rodney and Virginia blessed us with lunch.  The my parents and Rodney and Virginia came over to watch football and more football. Rodney and Virginia ordered some yummy pizza and we ended the weekend relaxing with family.
TJ at the head of the table.

Oh the part I didn’t mention from Saturday is Tim crashed on his bike he kind of went over the handle bars then fell on his elbow, hip, and ankle. He has some nasty strawberries and a little sore but he’ll be fine. It scared the liver out of me when he told me.

12/5/08

Oh My Dear T.J.

Last night he got to spend the evening with Tim while I went to my class at church. When I left he was laying on the couch next to Tim drinking his bottle and be going to bed about 45 minutes after he was finished. Once I got to class I received a message from Tim saying he fell asleep while he was eating so he put him in bed.
After I got home Tim told me that once he laid him in there that he finished his bottle and was wide awake so Tim went and brought him into the living room to play and went to bed at normal time. Since he fell asleep at regular time at in the living room on Tim he just took him and laid him down again.
This morning at 5:20 TJ is in his bed talking away!! When I peaked in there to see if he was okay. He was looking over his bed smiling real big at me (he learned how to pull up in his bed YESTERDAY) and wide awake. When I went to lay him back down and give him his pacifier I noticed that he was soaked from the middle of his chest to his knees. His diaper had leaked bad. Well after wiping him down, getting him cleaned up, and changing his diaper he just wanted to play. He just sat on the floor next to the couch and played while I did my quiet time and sat in front of the mirror in my room while I got ready.
He had a really good time but it was so different him being awake while I’m getting ready.

I Am Second For HE is First

I don't know if any of you have seen the billboards or commercials for a website called iamsecond.com. Well Tim and I checked it out tonight and it is an amazing site where some well known people are telling there testimonies on how God is first in their lives.

Some of them you may recognize and some you may not. Watch the videos! We got to watch a couple of them tonight and are already touched by what these people have gone threw.

Here is the Link. Share this with friends and family. We truly were amazed with what some of these people have gone threw. I AM SECOND

Preach It Man!!!

Can't you see TJ doing this in a few months. He already talks his little head of as soon as Papa starts talking.

We are Fans of Both

Okay so as many of you know my whole family are Aggies. Well Tim’s whole family are LSU fans. Then there is us, we enjoy both teams. This Saturday there was an Aggie game along with an LSU game. Here is TJ and Me Saturday morning before the Aggie Game:

And then here is TJ and Tim Saturday afternoon before the LSU game:

We had a great weekend. We watched a lot of football and did a bunch of stuff at church.

Sunday we had a Arts and Crafts Fair. Lots of people at our church have some really amazing gifts. So we arranged for them all to display their talents and could even sell some things if they wanted to. I set up and interior design table and had a lot of pictures and items from redoing out house. It was fun. So Saturday we went up there and got all that set up so it would be ready for Sunday after church.

Well that’s about it from our weekend.

Go Cowboys!

How about them Cowboys! I'm not posting this to talk about the game bacause for one I just couldn't stay awake to watch the end of the game. I can't function without sleep. I am posting this to share this wonderful picture of my family.

Monday night is the night of the week when our church has its men's meeting (Band of Brothers) well since the game was on they all decided to meet at our house. I made sure that I wasn't banished to our room with TJ to watch the game. They opened up the night to anyone who wanted to come. We had my parents, The Peery's, Ron Carl, Rodney, Terry and Lizzie, and us there and everyone brought a snack and we just had a wonderful evening watching the game.

Thanks to everyone who came and those who didn't you missed a good time. Next time then.

Oh and Tim did take pictures of the office he just needs to send them to me. I'll get him to do that this afternoon and I'll get the pictures posted.

From Arkansas They Came

We had a pretty busy weekend.
Friday night we were able to just stay at home and relax and get some things done before the weekend went into high gear.

Saturday we got up and had to get ready to go to Lake Palestine with Terry, Lizzie, and the kids. We were looking at a property that we didn’t know had been sold that morning. Here is a picture of my boys for the day:

Sunday we went to church and went out to lunch with the regular crew. We just stayed at my parents house and hung out until around 4:30 because we had a meeting with the elders to go over our words from Presbytery. Very exciting! That night around 8, Bill and Debra got to our house. We kept TJ up until they got there so they could love and cuddle with him before he had to go to bed. Monday we just spent the day relaxing and enjoying the short visit. That night Rick , Sarah and Piper came over for dinner. They drove in on Sunday also but stayed over at Rick’s parents house. We cooked out and had fun with the babies.

Well that’s about it. We did a lot of relaxing but had a bunch to do.

Now we are almost done with this week. I’ve been so tired because our hours at work changed and I have to be there earlier and just having to adjust my body.

We think TJ is cutting another tooth. I just talked to my mom and she said he has been really unhappy today. Good times!

Mexican Fiesta

I guess on Sunday we had decided at lunch that we were going to have family night at our house. We had The Weigands, Marie, Terry and Lizzie, My parents with Amy, the Wirths, and us. Everyone offered to bring something so one family wouldn’t be responsible for the whole meal. We did have the open ceremony on our DVR from Friday night 8/8/08. Since Tim set up to record every Olympic event that was on TV after the 2nd day everything was starting to get bumped off due to not enough space. So instead we were just going to hang out.
We had chicken and cheese enchiladas, beans, rice, awesome cheesecake dessert, and tons of chips with all kinds of dips. We just spent the evening hanging out, talking and watching the Olympics. TJ did pretty good he was getting really tired around 8 and wouldn’t really have anyone else hold him besides Tim for a little bit and then me.

That’s about it. I’ve been really busy at work and my brain doesn’t really want to work anymore. Presbytery was great and we got a lot of great words. I’ll have to talk about that later, again due to my brain not working well right now.

Talk to ya later.

We Have a Turtle!

Yesterday TJ got a word from Dr. Nigel Bigpond. He is a Native American who came to minister at our church. He said that TJ was like a turtle. God would always be protecting him and he would always have his covering over him. TJ would know when to come out and when to stay under the protection. TJ would not be limited to God's works with his age. He already knows things and sees things. People would think that he doesn't know but HE DOES! He spoke that TJ senses would be open and sensitive to the Spirit. He also spoke that TJ was not apart of me anymore that he was born and was born into what God has for him. I'm writing what I remember. I'll try to post the actual word when it is given to me so you can read the exact word. Dr. Bigpond also gave him a hand made turtle necklace that was mad by his tribe.
okay I know this was all random but I wanted to share how he is a turtle. The thing that made it all funny is that we always say he is a turtle. When he sleeps he pulls his arms and legs in under his body. When he starts waking up he will stretch and realize its cold and then pull back in again. He does this over and over again until he finally wakes up.

Presbytery

Last fall there was a group of us that went through our Lifting Up Eagles class. Its kinda a class that you take to be a member. I was a member before but since I left and then Tim and I got married and came back we went through this class and are now members. Sometime after you become a member we have a Presbytery. For those of you who may not know what a Presbytery is I will post a little blipit at the end of this blog.
The point of this blog is to tell you that we started our Presbytery last night. There were a few couples that were in the hot seat and a few individuals that went. Our turn is tonight. I'm really excited to see what God will speak to me and to Tim. We have never been through one together. We have had seperate words given to us while we were together. I was given a word right before we got married that confirmed that I was marrying the right one that God had chosen for me. Last night was amazing and it really hit home for some people. Keep us in your prayers today and tonight. Also you are more then welcome to come and cheer us on tonight. It starts at 7 at our church. Let me know if you want directions.

The time of presbytery is an event which should be treated with respect and a sense of expectation by the body. It is a time when God, through the elders, directs or confirms ministry, and imparts the gifts necessary for the function of that ministry. Presbytery provides an excellent opportunity for members to be "set in" to their place of ministry. Presbytery provides the elders and other leaders of the body the opportunity to discover and prepare the ministries which are being released among the members of the fellowship. With this in mind, it is important for the entire body, as well as presbytery candidates, to be prepared with prayer, fasting and a worshipful attitude.

This Weekend and TJ is 4 Months Old

This weekend we didn't do much. Friday we went out to Chilis for dinner with Nick and Kelly and then went back to their house to watch Jumper. It was a pretty good movie, they did leave it wide open for a sequel. TJ just wanted to play the whole time.

Saturday we got lots and lots of laundry done. We got a bunch of things done around the house. Its kinda nice being at home then TJ gets to just enjoy playing and gets on a good schedule for the weekend. Its so funny he knows exactly what to do on the weekend when he is with us. Monday comes around and he has a different scheduel with my mom. He's so smart he knows what he is suppose to do when he is with a certain person. Then when he is with a new person he trys to play them and see what he can get away with.
Sunday we went to church. A squirell committed suicide on the power lines in my parents back yard which meant that we lost power at church and at my parents house. Power came back on at around 9 so the church was cooled back down by the time church started. TJ took a nap during worship and woke up during announcements and wanted to talk the whole time. Here he is talking to me.

Last night TJ saw his first football game...well he saw the kick off and wasn't too interested after that. I finally decided to water my yards so at about 8:30 we went out to watch the water and our neighbor was outside watering his grass so we chatted with him and his daughter for a while. We got TJ in bed watched the rest of the game, a few mins of the game and then went to sleep.
Okay now its time for the update on TJ. It seems this month that TJ has done so much. He can sit up on his own. He still falls over after a while but he is getting a lot better. He has discovered his feet. The other afternoon Tim went to get him from his nap. (he could here him talking in there) when he went in there TJ had rolled over on his back and had his foot, sock and all in his mouth. He has started to move around the floor. He doesn't really realize that he is the one moving him but its cute when he looks up and realizes that we are further or closer to him. He just grins real big and keeps scooting. Sat morning he kept waking him self up because he would scoot and roll and would wake him self up and get confused on where he was. TJ also says Momma. Its only when he cries but it he is definately calling me Momma. He doesn't do it when he is with my mom or when he is with Tim. I love it!!
There is your update on our weekend and our little guy.

Our Weekend in Arkansas!

We had been planning for a few months that we were going to take a trip up to Arkansas this last weekend. I had taken Friday off since I have more vacation on hand than Tim does. Turns out TJ had a doctors appointment Friday morning with his Urologist. They went ahead and scheduled his surgery for October 3rd. I'm actually trying to reschedule the surgery since we are having inventory that week at work. Not having much luck getting a hold of the nurse...doesn't suprise you does it?

Okay back to our weekend. Tim got off work early and we were on the road for Arkansas by 1:30. We got to Little Rock by 7 I think. Rick to us through his church and gave us a tour. Here is a few pictures from the tour:

Piper and the Bear

TJ and Piper in the table

Tim kissing the reindeer

We just hung out with them after we put the babies to sleep. Woke up, fed the babies, and were on the road by 9:30. Made it to the Leckie home by 12:30. That day we went up to the original Walton's 5-10 store. We went to the big shopping center (kinda like the highlands) got ice cream and walked into a few of the baby stores. The kids and grandkids got Bill a LSU jersey and Debra got him a Ipod Nano. Bill opened his presents after lunch so he could enjoy them all weekend. Then after the evening meal and staying busy all day the girls and Tim went up to the Bentonville Wal-mart...Woo hoo! I got a pair of shorts, Tim got a shirt and TJ got a onsie that says Born in 2008.

Sunday we went to church then to On the Border for lunch. Sarah, Piper, Debra, TJ and I all went to Belks for shopping. I got 2 pairs of dress shorts and a shirt. I saved 90 bucks!!! Tim and I said we were going to buy pizza for everyone but it took them over an hour to get us the pizza so we got it free. We headed out Monday morning at about 9. Bill was coming to Arlington for a Shady Grove get together so we caravaned down here. Bill headed back up to Bentonville on Tuesday morning at about 5, right when Tim left for work.

TJ in his new onsie

TJ and Piper with their matching "I love Wal-Mart" shirts.

Bill with his Grandkids. Its hard to tell but he is wearing his new jersey.

Here is all of us right after church.

If you don't know who all of there are here:

We had a really good time and I hope you enjoy the pictures.

My Little Cowboy

We had a wonderful weekend. Friday night we just spent the night at home and watched a movie. On Saturday Tim got up to go to a golf class and since he was going to be gone I decided to go again to Nick and Kelly's church. When Church got out TJ and I went and picked Tim up and met Nick and Kelly up at Kincaid's for lunch. We spent a couple of hours with them just talking about a bunch of different things. After that we did a little bit of shopping (well window shopping). Saturday afternoon we were playing with TJ and got him to roll over a bunch of times.

Tim was playing with TJ and put his cowboy hat on him. He actually stayed put long enough for me to take a picture:
My parents got home on saturday night from there trip to Florida. We went buy and picked them up and went to Elchico's for dinner. Yummy! Went back to there house and spent the rest of the evening chilling on the back patio.
Sunday we had my cousin lead worship. It was really good and Jayne preached so my parents actually sat with us on Sunday. Weird but fun! After church we went to Chili's for lunch and celebrated my parents Anniversary. They have been married 34 years! Way to go mom and dad! Happy Anniversary! We missed my parents and are glad they are back. BUT the left again after lunch to go up to OK for a meeting that is today. They will be back tonight and will watch TJ again tomorrow. He misses them so much.

Tim and I just went home after that and did some cleaning and hanging out at home. Wonderfull blessed weekend full of Church, family and friends.
