Ride His Bicycle

Aunt Dre and Uncle J got TJ this bike for his 2nd birthday and we have tried numerous time to get him to ride it but he just couldn't peddle and steer the bike at the same time. The day our neighbors...the best neighbors moved out is when he finally figured it out. I took this video on September 17th.

Anna is 10 Months Old

Well little Miss is moving and moving. Not walking yet but pulling up on everything and crawling like crazy.

She is basically always happy. She talks and laughs all the time and loves her big brother. She is always laughing at him and tackling him.

She can eat table food now, not sure how she does it because she only has two teeth but she has it mastered.

Dada is the most recognizable word she says. Don't think she knows that Dada is Dada but she says it. She has said Mama but more on demand than calling for me.

The other day she got a hold of the eye from TJ's Dora ice cream and this is what happened:

Her Schedule:
A few changes just in the food she eats.
She wakes up at around 9 and then eats oatmeal with fruit, stays up and plays till 11:45 and starts eating then lays down at noon, sleeps till 3, eats again, and some times will stay up till bed time but sometimes at around 4:30ish she lay back down, sleeps till 6ish, up for table food like meet and veggies, around 7:30 we start baths and she is eating and in bed by 8:15. She eats about 8 ounces at each feeding.

At my mom’s house she'll eat a little bit and then go back to sleep till about 9- 9:30ish then the rest of the schedule is the same.

Vacation Bible School

This wasn't TJ's first year to attend Vacation Bible School but it was the first year he had a program and the first program he has ever been in.

We were super proud of him and could wait to see him sing and dance. We even took him to ice cream afterward to celebrate.

And here is a video of one of the songs. It is so cute. He couldn't stop dancing and he even almost falls towards the end. HEHE

I Gotta Feeling

Last night I let TJ watch a video of the Backyardigans singing "I Gotta Feeling". He loved it. He was kinda singing along with it. Once Tim got home I told him to show daddy.

We pushed play and TJ started singing and dancing. Here it is:

Rolling Anna

I got Anna on Video last night of her rolling from her tummy to her back and thought I would share it with all of you.

Nice Getting a Bargain

Tim and I have been thinking of some gift ideas that we wanted to get TJ for Christmas. Yeah I know, kinda early. Anyways, we were pretty sure that we wanted to get him a yard toy and were narrowing down to a slide after the past few weeks. He has discovered slides and always screeches with excitement as he goes down.

The Little Tikes slide at Toys R' Us is about $80 and we hadn't really looked anywhere else knowing we still had time.

Well as we pull into our neighborhood someone has a little tikes slide out by the street so we continue home and Tim jumps into his truck and heads down there to get it. I got it all cleaned up and TJ wouldn't eat because he wanted to play on the slide. He was out there forever playing and learned how to climb the ladder himself. Tim also taught him how his car can roll down the slide. It was so fun sitting out there watching him play.

The only thing wrong with the slide is the steps on the ladder are cracked on the bottom two steps. 

We didn't have to pay for the slide and now we are back to square one with deciding what we'll get him for Christmas.

The Donut Man

Now I know that most of you will have no idea who the Donut Man is or what the Donut Repair Club is...thats ok. I'll forgive you.

The Donut Man is bible story-songs presented in cd's, videos, TV shows, and a live tour. This guy has been around for 25 years, writing VBS programs and so on. We used to listen to tapes when we were growing up and we only had one movie that we would watch over and over again.

Well it just so happens that we found a catholic channel that The Donut Man comes on. Since there is all this fancy technology now, we record it. My son LOVES the Donut Man. Any time he sees it on the TV he breaks down in dance. I found the old tapes in my sisters closet. And then had to find a tape player so I could listen to them. Because I listened to the tapes ALL the time I know all the songs. To this day I think that the Donut Man is the greatest children's Bible story music. Its great to just listen to and its great to watch.

Please, not another one

I don't know where our son learned this....hmmm maybe his Daddy. =)

We went outside and there was a can there from earlier. It was empty and I was watching to make sure he wouldn't hurt himself. But this was hilarious to watch and I just had to share it.


Here he is just walking around "drinking" the Dr. Pepper.


Here is another of him just sitting there taking a "drink" and then setting it back down again. He was so serious sitting there.

The Timothy Wayne Band

Last night Tim was in the game room playing his guitar while T.J. was napping and I was watching some TV. Once T.J. woke up we both went out there to listen to Tim play. I went and got T.J.’s guitar that he got for Christmas so he would feel a part of the playing. It was so funny. T.J. kept looking at Tim and then would look down and hit the buttons on his guitar to make it play. I got a couple of good pictures but then just had to video it. They were just playing, it was so cute!

 

  

 The sound is bad on the video because I was recording it on my digital camera and not the actual video camera. Video quality does not reflect the quality of my lovely husband's guitar playing.

For T.J.’s birthday he got the rest of his band instruments. He got the guitar for Christmas and then for his birthday he got the maracas and drums. I guess all he needs now is a little piano. I’ll work on that one. He even takes one of his maracas to church and plays along.

Here is The Walking Video

Well after about 5000 times trying to get a video of him walking, we finally got it. He would do walk but only when there was no camera near. I just gave up. Tonight Teej, my mom and I were hanging out. TJ was just standing there and turned around. I grabbed the camera as fast as I could and caught him taking his final steps of the walk.

Belated Christmas Gift

TJ got a late Christmas gift from my manager. We call her Nana Carolyn. Well really just I call her that TJ doesn’t really call anyone by names yet, so we’ll see.

Anyways she got him this giant bear. It is so soft and he’ll love laying on that bear for years. She also got him a swing for outside. It is one he sits inside and gets buckled into. We took him out there yesterday and he had a blast. He was laughing so hard. I put a video at the end here so you can see how much fun he was having.

Crawling TJ

Here is TJ crawling. He officially crawled a couple of weeks ago while I was on vacation but in the last week he is moving all over the place. Here is a close up of him crawling and then the second video is a little further away and really getting him move. and yes that is a cell phone. Its Tim's old phone but he is a boy and LOVES electronics.

This Weekend

This weekend has been great. Sorry this one will be long. Rick, Sarah and Piper got to come down and stay a few days with us. Mainly so someone could be here with me while we were at the hospital see this blog and this blog.

They got here thursday afternoon and we just hung out till I had to go to my class at 6:30. We just spent some time hanging out and catching up. 

Thursday night before I left we tried out this toy that TJ can't use yet and she really enjoyed it:

Friday was the big day and TJ along with Sarah and I had to be at the hospital at 7:30. We were out of there by 11 and when we got back we got TJ settled and Sarah and I worked on herBlog. Its super cute and she hasn't updated it in a few months but we got it set up where it easier to update. After Rick got back with Piper he was on his computer and put some music on. TJ just started singing with the music. TJ would stop singing when Rick would start up, but as soon as he stopped singing TJ would start back up.

Friday night we went over to Roger and Michelle's house. I think the last time I saw them was when TJ was still in the NICU. I got to see there nice house for the first time and catch up with them.

Now for whatever reason Rick and Tim got really sick. We aren't sure if its something they ate or if they both got dehydrated and was kinda a fluke thing they both got sick. Rick started throwing up and had a fever while we were at Roger and Michelle's. The rest of us were feeling fine so were sure it wasn't something we ate and more like he got dehydrated. He was up all last night and didn't fall asleep till 5:30 AM. Then this morning around 8:30 AM Tim got sick and started throwing up. Its very strange and I feel sorry for them. To get away from them, Sarah, Rick and Piper were going to go see his family today so instead me and Sarah along with the babies went to IHOP to give the guys some room to be sick. 

I guess Rick was feeling better so after Sarah dropped me off Rick went with her to his brothers house and just the Leckie's are here at home.

Rick, Sarah and Piper leave tomorrow after lunch and we start are week back up. I'm off this week so I'll get to stay home and play with TJ. Woo Hoo!

Joyous Sounds of Laughter

When I got home tonight TJ was being held by Tim and I kept hiding behind him and then coming around and saying "boo" and he would crack up. He just kept laughing and I was able to get it on film.

I know I Know

I am loving  this whole blog thing and I love it more now that I'm getting better at getting videos up. Now that we have more and more family that aren't close by. I've been trying to get more on video so they can enjoy our little guy.  He is changing every day. I feel like I miss so much just being at work and not with him all day. So I can just imagine what its like for those who can't see him everyday.
