Tigers Spring 2012

TJ had a great time this season. He is enjoying his teammates and is developing more as a team player.

Tigers Fall 2011

Well the season is over. TJ had a blast and he will definitely be playing again in the spring. This league was great. He got so much playing and practicing time. We love his coaches and how they interacted and taught the kids.

We are so proud of you TJ.

Rookie of the Year

Not sure if I said this in any of the previous Tee Ball posts but TJ was the youngest on the team. Most of the kids are 4 years old some of them are even 5. He definitely isn't the smallest on the team but he is the youngest.

About half of the team were first time players but TJ was named "Rookie of the Year". The team had their end of season party. We are so proud of him!

His last game is scheduled for this Thursday but he had a game last week that got canceled because of the water on the fields. This game that was canceled has been rescheduled for the last Thursday
of the month.

Tee Ball Sky

I always think the sky during TJ's tee ball games and practice always look awesome. The first picture I decided after all this time to point the camera up and snap a picture. Today since some storms were a brewin it looked really cool but since Anna was crashed out I only took a couple pictures and none of them caught the sky in the background.

October 6th again but different direction

Ear Infection and Cold

Last week TJ's tball game was at 7:15 on a Thursday night. Obviously the person who created the schedule does not know any 3 year olds, especially my 3 year old. TJ starts getting ready for bed at 7:30 and is asleep by 8. Well he started crumbling before we even left the house. Poor kid was tired and Monday we found out he had an ear infection. He has been on his antibiotics for 4 days now and is sooo much better.

He has a game tonight and its much earlier and he is rested and not sick like he was last week. Praying for a better experience then what we did last week.

This is how he spent the game last week
He and Anna went to the doctor on Monday and he was diagnosed with a ear infection. This is the first time he has had one and Anna has a cold. Both kids are doing much better.

I must go now. We have to leave for TJ's game tonight.

Rangers Game

I got Ranger tickets for .90 each. Yeah couldn't beat that deal. Well really there were about $4 a ticket with the shipping and processing costs. But still, it was a great deal.

I originally looked into getting tickets because it was oven mitt give away. It is silly I know. Our friends the Peerys ended up getting tickets too and were sitting in the next section over. Once we walked in we realized there were a bunch of seats by us so they all sat down.

It was Firework Friday but I had to be at work this morning at 6 so we couldn't stay out that late.

The kids were fantastic and we would have stayed if I didn't have to get up.

AND the Rangers won 14-4!!!! We left at the end of the 7th inning at they were winning 8-4. Great game!

Baseball Ready!

What does the coach say to the kids to get them up from the ground, from running around, or standing there like a bump on a log?

He yells "Get baseball ready!"

This means to get ready because the ball is coming to you. During the game the coaches and dad's shout "baseball ready Tigers!" and they all lean over and get ready. Very cute.

We have been off from Teeball for a while because of the holiday but we start back up practices this Thursday and his second game on Saturday.

Awesome

TJ had his first Tee Ball game on Monday night. You can see most of my pictures on Facebook, I’ll be posting them individually on here. I took a picture of him right when he was getting to first base and he made this face. I thought it was awesome.

He did great in the game. He played a few different positions and hit great.

We are so proud of him!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported TJ. He had the loudest cheering section. I know he felt so loved.

I did tell Tim I wouldn’t be snapping pictures during every game. I love the pictures but I also want to enjoy the games. I’ll take the camera because I can’t go without it but I’ll just grab it when I need to take a picture instead of holding it and walking around with it.

First T-Ball Practice

Well, we have our first T-ball practice under our belt.

He did pretty good. It was very hectic and busy shortly after we got there so it took a bit to keep him focus to throw and pay attention. After he went off to practice with the assistant coach while the head coach talked to us he was doing great.

He has his next practice on Thursday night. The practice is at 7 so most likely Anna and I will have to stay home.

I was the only mom that was constantly taking pictures, mastering taking care of a baby, and coaching my son from the sidelines. [smile]

Coach said he had a great throw
 he's ready
 focus
I yelled his name to take his picture and he yelled his name back at me
 first huddle with his team
talking with daddy about what to do
 Coach Daddy
 Great HIT
RUN TJ RUN!!

And we have a VERY supportive sister!

Tee Ball

Since last spring...well really since we found out at 20 weeks pregnant that we were going to have a boy, we have been planning to put TJ in sports. Well we didn't think he was ready during the spring and still a little young.

So I started to research options mid spring. We were debating between Soccer and Tee Ball. Both were starting the same week, so there was no way we could do both. Cost was the same. After watching his bestest friend Lexi played Tee Ball this past spring we knew he had to play Tee Ball.

Easy enough. Decision was made now we just needed to find somewhere that was good league and close to home. Tim's supervisor at work suggested a league and turns out its just what we were looking for.

We registered him to play and his first practice is this coming Monday. His first game is on August 29th. He is beyond excited!

He has done fairly well with waiting patiently for the season to begin. We knew he would be playing and we knew what gear he would need but didn't want to wait until the weekend before the season starts to find everything he needs.

We started purchasing items he would need. One of those items being a glove. He had been throwing with his left hand. He hits left handed also so we got him a left hand glove. Yeah this past weekend we were out with family and every time he threw something he threw it with his right arm. So we went and got him another glove. Now he has two gloves. He is well prepared....for anything.

More posts on this subject will definitely be in the future.
